Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business in based in Rochdale. The company has gone from strength to strength in their market and are looking to add an ambitious and driven Assistant Management Accountant to their Finance team.

In the role of Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the Management Accountant with the production of management accounts, taking responsibility for your own sections and will provide support to decision makers in the business. This is a very exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate who is looking for development in a hands-on role in an ever-growing business!

Salary and Benefits:

Salary £30,000 - £32,000 DOE, study support with ACCA or CIMA as well as on the job training and mentorship. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, benefit from private healthcare and dental schemes and an employee discount programme after probation. Pension contributions increase with length of service.

Role Overview:

Support the Management Accountant with the monthly management accounts preparation.
Assist in the creation of the budgets and take part in periodic re-forecasting.
P&L support, ownership of various sections.
Assist with balance sheet recs.
Assist with cash flow.
Journal posting including accruals and prepayments.
Management and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
Work alongside various stakeholders within the business
Monitor the finance inbox and manage any queries.
Assist with and perform monthly stock counts.
Assist with year-end audit and project work.
Provide the team with cover for sickness and holiday.
Ad hoc work outside the remit of the role as required.
Your Experience as an Assistant Management Accountant:

Degree educated or AAT study route
Part qualification or exemptions in ACCA or CIMA
Experience working in an Assistant Management Accountant role or similar
Strong communication - written and verbal
Excellent excel skills are essential, ability to confidently use vlookups and pivot tables
A driven individual with a positive “can do” and “will do” attitude
Ability to successfully organise and prioritise work dynamically
