We are seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join our Operations team within the Water Hygiene Services department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring and Testing: Perform routine temperature checks and microbial sampling of water systems.
* Cleaning and Disinfection: Carry out cleaning and disinfection of water systems, including tanks and both hot and cold-water systems.
* TMV Servicing: Conduct servicing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
* Remedial Works: Undertake necessary remedial work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Documentation: Keep detailed records and generate comprehensive reports for all completed work.
* Compliance: Ensure that all tasks adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Client Interaction: Provide clear communication, advice, and recommendations to clients regarding water hygiene management.
* Training and Development: Engage in ongoing training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices.
Qualifications:
* Legionella Awareness: Certification in Legionella risk management (L8) is required.
* Additional Training: City and Guilds or equivalent water industry qualifications are advantageous.
Working Conditions:
* Field-Based Role: Full-time position.
* Flexibility: Must be willing to stay overnight away from home as needed and be available for occasional out-of-hours or weekend work.
