We are working with a large UK Train Operating Company (currently operating at 140 stations across the country) who are seeking to recruit a Turnaround Train Cleaner join the train cleaning team based at St Pancras International Station.

They are looking for someone with a ‘go getter’ attitude who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and can lead a team by example.

The Role:

As a Turnaround Train Cleaner, your main responsibility will be to ensure the trains meet the correct levels of cleanliness within a 15-minute timeframe, known as Turnaround Cleaning. With the train arriving at the station, you'll perform a walk-through to remove rubbish & litter, sanitize key touch points, and ensure the toilets are in top-notch condition for the next departure. You'll get to board 4+ trains per hour, engaging with customers regularly.

Hours wise it is a day shift role that works on a 2-week shift rota, with Week 1 being Tuesday – Saturday 07:00am to 14:00pm and Week 2 being Wednesday – Sunday 14:00pm – 22:00pm.

The Company:

The company covers the East Midlands, North West of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Staffordshire. They operate at over 140 stations.

As a result of this, they have a large fleet of trains – 277 to be precise, so it's safe to say you will be active & busy with your role!

Remuneration & Benefits:

This rail company has on offer the following for contract staff:

£13.15p/h standard rate, overtime rate is £13.68p/h
Opportunity to join on a permanent basis after an initial 6 month contract

Requirements:

Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
Be able to pass a full rail medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
Happy to help mentality/attitude
