A growing prestigious London Market insurance company has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join a growing dynamic Enterprise Application Architecture team.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Form strong business partnerships with the Business, and Business Excellence to understand the business process / business requirements.
* Demonstrate up-to-date expertise on the clients Application Architecture, and how that architecture supports the various business processes;
* Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing project documentation, managing scope, adjusting schedules when necessary, and following agreed escalation paths;
* Execute and support BAU processes in relation to applications covering system configuration changes, monitoring integrations, and training on system functionality;
* Liaise with Business Users, Developers and QAs to ensure requirements understood from all sides;
* Partner Head of Enterprise Application Architecture, Business Systems Analyst Lead and Senior Solution Architect to conduct assessments on new systems to ensure technology meets Enterprise Architecture requirements;
* Support the Head of Enterprise Application Architecture and Business Systems Analyst Lead in developing and maintaining an asset register of all applications, including documentation of BAU IT processes supporting the applications.
Experience
* 5+ years’ experience in Business Systems Analysis in the London Specialty Insurance Industry;
* Documenting Use Cases, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria;
* Process analysis, data modelling, and data analytical skills using SQL and Excel;
* Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs;
* Previous systems experience: Sequel Eclipse and DOCOsoft;
* Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

* Excellent communication skills: verbal and written;
* Pro-active, self-organiser who can plan detail of work to be undertaken and act to ensure it happens;
* Keen eye for detail, ability to scrutinise, think critically, and ask the right questions;
* Problem analysis – identify root cause of issues and what impact this has on the systems / data;
* Comfortable with investigating application configuration and how that maps to business processes
