A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team in Staverton, Cheltenham, on a permanent basis. This exciting opportunity comes with a salary package of up to £45,000.

Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role responsibilities of the Buyer include:

Assist in determining demand, supply, and fulfilment planning within the MRP system
Accountable for converting purchase demand into purchase orders after appropriately evaluating vendor capability
Responsible for managing the RFQ process to secure competitive bids
Integrating with Engineering teams to meet procurement requirement and act as primary point of contact
Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers
Person Specification of the Buyer:

Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement or Buyer role within a manufacturing environment
Confident and competent in reading engineering drawings with the ability to interpret relevant information to inform purchasing decisions - must
Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP Systems
Excellent communication across all departments and platforms

Salary

Up to £45k

This position is based fully on site and offers no hybrid working
