The vacancy

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Digital Skills Lecturer with specialism in Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, and Coding to join our Adult Curriculum (ACADS) department. This is an exciting opportunity for an expert in these fields to teach, inspire, and support learners as they develop essential digital competencies for today's job market.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, and Coding programmes, acting as a Programme Tutor for one or more courses.
Lead a programme of study, contributing to lesson preparation, classroom management, curriculum development, and marketing activities for the department.
Ensure the effective use of a range of assessment methods, supporting students to achieve learning and teaching goals, and keeping accurate records of learner activity.
Manage administrative responsibilities, including admissions, timetabling, examinations, student attendance, progress assessments, and ensuring quality assurance processes are maintained.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as student attendance, retention, and achievement, using data analysis to set targets for raising standards.
Develop curriculum content, preparing learning materials and marking student assignments, with a focus on ensuring student progress and achievement in line with programme goals.
Deliver a mix of formal scheduled teaching, blended learning, and tutorials, supporting student progression towards successful course completion and professional development.Specialist Areas:
Digital Marketing: Covering topics such as SEO, social media marketing, PPC, content marketing, and digital analytics.
Cyber Security: Teaching foundational to advanced topics, including ethical hacking, data protection, threat analysis, and security protocols.
Coding: Offering instruction in programming languages such as Python, Java, HTML/CSS, and more, depending on course requirements.Requirements:
Expertise in Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, and Coding, with practical and teaching experience in one or more of these areas.
Strong organisational skills with experience in managing administrative responsibilities.
Proven ability to develop and deliver learning materials that engage a range of learners, fostering a positive learning environment.
Experience in assessing and recording learner progress, with a focus on achieving high standards in teaching outcomes.This is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with adult learners and contribute to the development of industry-relevant skills. This role is permanent, full time (35.5 hours per week).
