On behalf of our client, a renowned automotive manufacturer we are currently recruiting a number of Paint Technicians for their brand-new, state-of-the-art production facility in Dagenham.
Location: Dagenham
Salary: £40,800 + shift uplift

Role Overview:
As a Paint Technician, you'll play a crucial role within the Operations & Logistics team, responsible for the painting and refinishing of commercial automotive parts using HVLP equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* High-Quality Application: Apply “wet on wet” paint and produce parts to the highest standards.
* Expert Mixing: Mix and match paint according to specifications to ensure flawless surface quality.
* Equipment Proficiency: Use spray guns and low-bake ovens efficiently and maintain their cleanliness.
* Quality Assurance: Assess product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions.
* Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of hygiene and organization.
* Stock Management: Ensure effective supply and movement of parts/products, adhering to COSHH standards.
* Documentation: Complete necessary process documentation in line with build instructions.
* Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks, ensuring continuous improvement.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 or IMI in automotive refinishing, or significant relevant experience.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in paint application techniques, color mixing, and use of various tools and equipment.
* Experience: Familiarity with ovens, drying techniques, and curing procedures.
* Health & Safety: Strong understanding of safety processes, proper PPE usage, and fire awareness.
* Quality Focus: Knowledge of quality conformance requirements and continuous improvement principles.
* Communication: Ability to read and interpret technical instructions
