Area to be covered: North West & Scotland

Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000neg + £10,000 - £20,000+ uncapped commission

Benefits: £550 car allowance negotiable or company car & benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Hand Tool Products will involve:

* Field sales based role, promoting a manufactured range of hand tools and saw horses

* All of your time will be spent selling to wholesalers, distributors, DIY sheds and merchants

* Inheriting an underperforming territory currently turning over £250k

* Occasional overnight stays

* Attending trade shows, events held at dealer premises, and visiting end-user’s sites

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Hand Tool Products with:

* Must have a proven track record in construction field sales

* Must have sold a related products such as: DIY, hand tools, power tool , woodwork tools, cutting tools, tools, fixings, fastenings, construction consumables etc

* Excellent communication skills

* Excellent presentation and demonstrating skills

* Ability to pick up product knowledge and health & safety information efficiently

* A practical and professional hands on competent approach

* Excellent organisational / territory planning skills
