The Role
As a Pump Engineering Manager, you will:
Oversee Pump Refurbishments: Manage the strip-down, in-progress work, final inspections, and testing of pumps and engineering components.
Provide Leadership: Guide and assist the works engineering team, occasionally rolling up your sleeves to provide hands-on support.
Client-Centric Repairs: Offer tailored repair solutions and keep customers updated on progress.
Support Workshop Planning: Collaborate closely with the Works Manager and shop supervisors to ensure work is executed safely and aligns with company H&S standards.
Ensure Quality Standards: Oversee inspection reports, product quality, and manage stock resources.
Embrace Innovation: Experience in thermodynamic pump monitoring and testing is a plus, but don't worry-training will be provided!
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a leader who combines technical expertise with strong people skills. If you have:
Comprehensive Pump Knowledge: Familiarity with centrifugal pumps, including HSC, volute, axial flow, and vacuum types.
Technical Proficiency: A solid grasp of technical drawings and CAD.
Practical Engineering Experience: Hands-on expertise in industrial engineering within a supervisory or management role.
Ambition to Grow: Perfect for junior managers or supervisors looking to step into a leadership position!
