37 hours per week, long term. Term time only.

Rate: £16.50 - £19 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay (PAYE, weekly)
Are you skilled in safeguarding and experienced in supporting Children in Care (CIC) through Personal Education Plans (PEPs)? A respected college in South East Birmingham is seeking a Personal Education Plan (PEP) Administrator to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with a Level 3 qualification in safeguarding and direct experience with PEPs, who is dedicated to creating positive outcomes for CIC and Care Leavers.

Key Responsibilities
Effective Liaison: Serve as the main contact between the college, Children’s Social Care, and Virtual Schools, ensuring strong communication to support the best outcomes for CIC. Coordinate the Personal Education Plan (PEP) process in line with Local Education Authority (LEA) standards.
PEP Administration: Oversee all PEP-related administrative tasks, ensuring records and documentation meet LEA standards. Manage paperwork efficiently and accurately to support the educational journey of CIC.
Student Engagement: Involve CIC students in setting their learning goals, promoting confidence, responsibility, and independence in their educational experience.
Removing Barriers to Learning: Educate college staff on the challenges CIC and Care Leavers may encounter, including emotional and social impacts, to foster understanding and support.
Foster Communication: Keep foster carers informed of key decisions affecting their students, providing updates and answering any concerns.
Safeguarding Partnership: Collaborate with the college’s Safeguarding Team to respond promptly to any safeguarding issues, ensuring a secure and caring environment for CIC and Care Leavers.
Health and Wellbeing Guidance: Provide CIC and Care Leavers with guidance for accessing support services, including pastoral health referrals. Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in safeguarding is highly desirable.
Experience: Direct experience managing and supporting PEPs, with knowledge of the standards and requirements set by LEAs.
Skills: Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail in documentation and records management.
Personal Attributes: Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable students.
Understanding of Needs: Knowledge of the unique challenges faced by CIC and Care Leavers, including an understanding of safeguarding practices. What We Offer
