The Technical Manager role

As a Technical Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the full life cycle of new build developments, from initial land appraisal to the final stages of adoption. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing design and engineering processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Managing projects from procurement to completion, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and engineers to meet deadlines.
Liaising with service companies, utility engineers, and key stakeholders.
Ensuring adherence to building regulations and technical agreements (S278, S38, S104).
Collaborating with internal teams to drive project success.
Traveling to sites across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Cambridgeshire, and surrounding areas as needed.This is a hands-on role for someone with a keen eye for design detail and a technical mindset. You'll need to be able to check and approve engineering designs while maintaining a team-oriented work ethic.

The Technical Manager

Engineering qualification: Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
4+ years of experience working with technical departments in the housing development sector (experience with a consultancy may be considered)
A proven track record of managing the technical elements of housebuilding
Strong design knowledge - this is a must!
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive work culture
A proactive, motivated individual with a strong sense of responsibility
A valid driving license to travel to various sites when necessaryIn Return?

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, office-based with site visits as needed
