Management Accountant

A leading Engineering business is seeking a highly capable and accomplished Management Accountant to join a high performing team.

Working closely with a range of senior stakeholders throughout the business, the Management Accountant will be responsible for assisting with Monthly accounts preparation, budgets and forecasts, supporting external audits and preparation of statutory accounts, and accounting process documentation and work instructions.

Other aspects of the role will include

• Complete and post regular and one-off journals.
• Completion of schedules required in the production of the Management accounts.
• Support the Group Management Accountant and Group Financial Controller in the production of Budget schedules.
• Review potential Capex spending so this can be built into the Budget.
• Support the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of audit schedules as required
Identifying cost savings and efficiencies
• Review and redesign existing processes to facilitate decision making
Positive ‘can-do’ attitude is crucial for this role

To be considered for this role you will be a commercially astute and fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post qualification practical experience.

You will have a good understanding of management accounting principles/ practices, strong financial awareness, and the ability to monitor your performance against deadlines and milestones is critical.

** This role will require you to be on site 5 days a week – this is non-negotiable. **
