The Role
Reporting directly into the QHSE Manager who is remotely based, you will be responsible day to day for being a key point of contact on site for all operational HSE issues on site and embedding a world class safety culture. This involves implementing an maintaining HSE policies and procedures, through to risk assessments, overseeing employee and contractor inductions and checking work to permit systems.

Qualifications and Skills
NEBOSH certification
Professional membership, IOSH (Technician level as a min) Desirable to have knowledge with ISO 45001 or others (Environmental, Energy)
Ideally have ISO auditing experience
Understanding of risk profiles, mitigation techniques
At least a few years of HSE experience, from within the glass industry is the preference, but it can be a varied within manufacturing
Adaptable to a changeable project-based environment, which can be with little notice
Instil a good HSE culture that coaches and encourages safe behaviours – not just a disciplinarian
Enjoys variety
Naturally analytical and strong problem solver
Be able to naturally influence and motivate others
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Confidence to deliver training
