Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee multiple refurbishment projects, with values up to £6 million. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.​

Key Responsibilities

Manage the delivery of social housing and education refurbishment projects, ensuring adherence to contract specifications, timelines, and budgets.

*

Lead and mentor site managers and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

*

Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Oversee project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

*

Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

*

Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and achievements.​

Essential Requirements

*

Longevity with current or recent employer.

*

Proven track record in managing refurbishment projects within the social housing and education sectors.

*

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.

*

Experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting.

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

*

Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).​

Desirable Attributes

*

Experience with Schedule of Rates contracts.

*

Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).

*

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.​

Benefits Package

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum.
