Role OverviewMain Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop SEO campaigns to improve search engine rankings and drive sales, leads and subscribers to the website.
Be the main source of knowledge for all things organic within the UK business, driving and implementing our organic strategy. You’ll be responsible for the SEO performance of our large ecommerce websites.
Manage and provide support to the Content Writer. Ensure that a commercially appropriate balance of content is produced. Distribute tasks and conduct annual/probation reviews as necessary.
SEO / organic performance reporting, utilising industry standard tools and resources.
SEO audits. Utilising analytical tools to analyse and evaluate SEO performance in comparison to competitors and from that, submit reports and recommendations for on-going strategy development.
Responsible for outreach campaigns and a range of ethical link building activities
Perform link prospecting
Analyse SEO metrics and make content and meta data changes as required to all website pages.
To write fresh content for our websites including meta data, product descriptions, category descriptions, and ad-hoc pages
Produce various content types, including blog posts and white papers. Actively manage and promote our blog, pitch articles to relevant third-party platforms.
To deputise when required for the Head of Marketing in meetings to report on SEO performance.
About the RoleWe are recruiting for a friendly and passionate Senior SEO Specialist to join our vibrant Marketing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the Senior SEO Specialist will continually develop and implement the Company’s SEO strategy for our brands, maintain an awareness of current SEO trends, techniques and best practice. You’ll be a knowledgeable SEO all-rounder, with proven ecommerce experience, confident formulating strategy, through to implementation and reporting on results. You will we responsible for all aspects of SEO ranging from technical SEO through to content and link building.
This role has the direct report of a Content Writer, to assist and support with content creation as required. Your activity will range from audits, through to performance reporting.

Essential SkillsSkills Required:
2+ years minimum experience in a dedicated SEO role, with some proven ecommerce experience. You’ll have achieved quantifiable and demonstrable results in your previous role(s). Experience either client-side or agency accepted.
A minimum 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English).
You’ll have a good all-round understanding of SEO and hands-on experience.
A good understanding of search engine algorithm updates and the ability to respond confidently to the changing SEO landscape.
Excellent understanding of industry standard analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog SEO Spider etc. You’ll need to be able to crawl large ecommerce websites.
An appreciation of AI tools and resources
An understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
A basic understanding of HTML & CSS (JavaScript a bonus).
Demonstrate and convey data accurately.
A high level of written English, good understanding of grammar
Confident user of Microsoft packages, Excel VLOOKUP
