TEACHING ASSISTANT

A Good Secondary School based in Hammersmith and Fulham, is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This large secondary school located in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. A relatively new school, the Senior Leadership Team have set a very clear and distinct ethos, which is to provide a classical liberal education for pupils of all backgrounds, emphasising scholarship and academic excellence. The curriculum is rich and knowledge based, and ensures that all of the pupils are provided with an education that includes materials and methods of the great scholars, thinkers and academics.

Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Pupils flourish here. Leaders have high academic expectations for pupils. Teachers are skilled and know how to get the best from their pupils. Pupils behave well and work hard in lessons."

Learning Support Assistant

This large Secondary School is looking to recruit a number of dynamic, experienced, and motivated individuals who are looking to make a difference as a Teaching Assistant. The successful candidates will have a passion for education and ideally be looking to go on to complete their teaching qualifications. Experience of working alongside students with SEND would be a benefit as you will be required to work closely supporting students with varying SEND, so being adaptable is very important.

Your role will be to provide support to students with additional needs, 1:1 tuition or to small groups of students with varying abilities. You will be encouraging and supporting individual pupils to reach their full potential whilst demonstrating a creative and determined attitude that will help motivate students. You will be directly supporting the students, as well as helping to organise the teaching and learning resources available to students and staff.

The school are looking to recruit a team of Teaching Assistants who are able to commit to the full academic year.

The right applicant for this Teaching Assistant position will:

Have experience of working as a teaching assistant (desired)
Have an interest in the education sector
SEND experience (Desired)
A recent graduate (graduated within last 2 years)
Ability to engage with and inspire young learners.
