Material Handler
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Material Handler to join our Warehouse Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating a forklift to load and unload trucks with materials, collect rejects from assembly lines, transfer stock between warehouses, and manage the dispatch and receipt of materials. The Material Handler should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, possess excellent organisational skills, and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Material Handler Responsibilities:

Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks with materials, ensuring safe handling and placement.
*
Collect rejected materials from assembly lines, properly documenting and storing them according to established procedures.
*
Read and accurately follow work instructions to ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of materials.
*
Transfer stock between warehouses, maintaining accurate records of quantities and locations.
*
Dispatch and receive materials, verifying items against purchase orders and ensuring proper documentation.
*
Utilise in-house systems to accurately book in items.
*
Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines while lifting, moving, and handling goods and materials.
*
Lift and move goods and materials manually when necessary, following proper techniques to prevent injuries.
*
Maintain a clean and organised work area, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
*
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
Material Handler Requirements:
*
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, on a regular basis.
*
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
*
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures and noise levels.
