An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Fitter to join an independent family-owned business, offering services from plant hire to agricultural contracting. This role offers excellent benefits and a salary of £19 per hour for 45 hours per week plus overtime opportunity.
As an HGV Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a fleet of HGV vehicles, ensuring they meet required safety and serviceability standards.
You will be responsible for:
Attend breakdowns and service vehicles on-site or at various locations as required.
Manage parts stock, liaising with management for replenishment when necessary.
Identify and report any misuse of vehicles.
Stay updated with technological advances and provide training or guidance to others where appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workshop environment.
What we are looking for:
Previously worked as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Plant Fitter or in a similar role.
Experience in vehicle inspection and repair, with strong fault diagnosis skills.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Physically fit and active.
Valid UK driving licence.
Ideally hold HGV Class 1 & 2 qualifications.
