2 X Principal Control Systems Engineer

Initial 12 Month Contracts

4 days per week on site (Monday - Thursday)

Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

£57.33 Per Hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)

The Role

Develop hardware design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme
Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including: diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications
Installation of the relevant system to the design documentation ensuring all work is done safely and to all relevant standards
Commissioning and setting to work of all installed test harnesses to prove correct and safe installation.
Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation.

The Candidate

Hands on installation experience is desirable
Basic understanding of at least one of the following areas:
Instrumentation and control systems
Electrical circuits design, EMC precautions and power supply characteristics
Fieldbus technology (Profibus/Profinet)
Technical reports and specifications
Functional System Diagrams
System design evidence
Developing test procedures
