Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to join our team. This role involves leading a team of operatives, ensuring the highest standards of health & safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery in your area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team at the operative level, fostering a professional and positive attitude.
* Utilize strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to monitor and address staffing requirements.
* Ensure team members are trained to a competent level, maintaining the necessary skill levels for safe and correct task execution.
* Oversee and ensure the accuracy of relevant paperwork and hygiene systems.
* Analyze, communicate, and regularly review team performance to ensure continuous improvement.
* Implement and uphold good cleaning practices, with an understanding of environmental and allergen swabbing regimes.
* Manage staff rotas and holidays using the Time Management System (TMS).
* Step up to the Manager position to provide coverage during holiday periods.
General Responsibilities:
* Adhere to all Health and Safety and Hygiene rules.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by your Manager.
* Carry out tasks economically, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
* Take responsibility for personal development, with training provided where needed.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Essential:
* At least 1 year of experience in a FMCG hygiene role.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Preferred:
* Proven experience in leading a team.
* Food Safety Level 2 certification.
