Hours: Full-time, shift-based (7:30am - 5:00pm and/or 9:00am - 6:15pm)

Job Overview
Our client, a well-established nursery in Leicester, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education, who can provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. You will be responsible for supporting children’s development, planning activities, and ensuring their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Childcare and Development: Engage with children through structured play and activities that promote early learning, social skills, and physical development.
* Curriculum Support: Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support each child’s development in alignment with their specific needs.
* Observations and Assessments: Regularly observe and assess each child’s progress, documenting milestones, and communicating with parents or guardians.
* Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment, strictly adhering to health, safety, and safeguarding policies.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other practitioners, sharing insights and ideas to create a well-rounded experience for all children.
* Parent Interaction: Build positive relationships with parents, offering regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Skills and Qualifications
Required: Level 3 in Early Years Education (or exceptionally strong Level 2 qualification in Early Childhood Education).
Desirable: Additional certifications in first aid, safeguarding, or special educational needs (SEN).
Experience: Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
