I am recruiting on behalf of my client who are known for manufacturing luxury-handcrafted motorcycles. They are looking for Lead Chassis Engineer to join their expanding team on a Contract basis.

As a Lead Chassis Engineer your main responsibilities are:

Responsibility for supporting/reviewing and approving concept and production-level design, both internally and externally.
Leading the design and development of quality components and systems for new class-leading motorcycles.
Successfully communicating and working with key internal departments and external service providers and suppliers to ensure quality design and feasibility.
Ensuring application of relevant industry standards and benchmark learning
Develop commodity delivery plans, and drive delivery to plan.
Approving concept and detail CAD designs and drawings.
Attending and inputting into engineering reviews and discussions.
Occasional travel may be required to support supplier development and product testing. Qualifications / Skills Required:

Understand engineering fundamentals in the design and development of components and assemblies
Risk identification and mitigation.
Mechanical Engineering Degree with a grade of 2:1 or above.
Practical hands-on engineering and mechanical experience.
CREO experience is preferred.
An understanding of motorcycle chassis design and its interaction with powertrain and electronics is essential for this role.
A minimum of 6 years within a motorcycle engineering background
