Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering to lead key water treatment projects for a Tier 1 contractor. This contract role, based in South Yorkshire, offers a hybrid working model and is outside IR35. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery on water treatment sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Oversee the delivery of water treatment projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure smooth communication and coordination among all project partners.
Resource Management: Lead a multidisciplinary team (Mechanical, Electrical, Civils) across various water treatment sites, ensuring all activities align with project specifications.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise delays and issues.
Compliance: Ensure projects comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Reporting: Monitor project progress and deliver regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Cost Control: Manage project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and timely payments. Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within the water industry or similar infrastructure sectors.
Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Experience working on water treatment or related utility projects is highly desirable.
Previous experience working for or with Tier 1 contractors.
Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Desirable:
Experience with NEC contracts.
Chartered status in Engineering or Project Management (e.g., ICE, IMechE, or PMP). Contract Details:
Rate: £405 - £420 per day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 to 12 months, with potential for extension based on project requirements.
Work Mode: Hybrid (combination of on-site work at water treatment facilities and remote work).
