Our client’s Sustainable Business team is at the forefront of sustainability, helping clients develop and implement strategies to transition to a sustainable future. The team works on cutting-edge projects that support businesses and organizations in overcoming sustainability challenges, developing practical solutions, and implementing them effectively.

As the Director of Sustainable Business, you will lead a team of highly skilled sustainability professionals in delivering high-quality projects, developing long-term client partnerships, and expanding client impact. This role combines project delivery, business development, strategic planning, and governance as part of the Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Sustainable Business team in creating and implementing sustainability strategies and action plans.
Oversee sustainability monitoring and reporting, including GHG accounting.
Conduct research to inform the development of sustainable product and material guidelines, policies, and action plans.
Act as project director for 5-7 strategic projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs in areas such as carbon footprinting, corporate sustainability strategy, and sustainable products.
Develop long-term partnerships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and expand service offerings.
Inspire and develop junior consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and skill development.
Contribute to the development and alignment of the team’s annual and long-term strategies with clients organizational objectives.
Skills and Attributes:
Proven track record in leading sustainability projects and managing stakeholder relationships.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
Ability to oversee complex research and technical deliverables, ensuring they are understandable to clients.
Inspirational team leader capable of generating ideas and developing colleagues.
Committed to addressing the climate and ecological emergency through transformative solutions.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in sustainability, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Expertise in carbon footprinting, corporate sustainability strategy, governance, and sustainable products.
Strong business development skills and experience in winning new projects.
Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.
