Seeking a project planner to join our dynamic team for a prestigious £45 million infrastructure project. This exciting opportunity is with a leading Tier 1 contractor, specializing in highways, roads, pathways, sewers, and bridges. The role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and is pay outside IR35 for a 15 month long project, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals looking for a challenging yet rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for the construction of roads, pathways, sewers, and bridges.
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
Monitor project progress, identifying any risks or issues and proposing mitigation strategies.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, outlining project status, forecasts, and any deviations from the plan.
Conduct regular progress reviews and adjust schedules as necessary to maintain alignment with project objectives.
Utilize planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject) to create and update schedules.
Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that resources and materials are delivered on time.
Contribute to the development of project methodologies, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Project Planner working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects, preferably within the highways sector.
Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a hybrid working environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on meeting project deadlines and budgets.
