Salary: £36,000

Are you an existing Registered Manager looking for a new role or a Deputy Manager/Care Manager ready for that next step in your career supporting those with Learning Disabilities. My client has a very large portfolio of services throughout the country which include Supported Living, Domiciliary, Residential and Nursing Homes and they are currently recruiting for a Registered Service Manager for their care home in Reading.

As the Registered Manager you will ensure the residents are fully supported and provided excellent person centred care. You and the team will support the residents to achieve their goals and seek out opportunities for the development of the residents skills and confidence through a variety of staff involvement, activities and other initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a detail oriented person who focuses on quality, you will be friendly and approachable with great leadership skills and you will be supported by a fantastic established deputy manager and a full care team. You will ideally have some experience of Learning Disabilities or Mental Health although my client would consider someone from an elderly/dementia background with strong management skills.

Your duties as Registered Service Manager will include:
• To manage the day-to-day running of the service and staff team, ensuring that the highest level of care standards are upheld
• Maintain occupancy levels within the service
• To support service users to ensure that their physical, social and emotional needs are met and provide them with a range of opportunities to develop and build confidence.
• To support the personal development of each service user, ensuring that they are treated as an individual with their own unique support needs
• To ensure that the dignity and individuality of each service user is respected
• To work in accordance with the company’s vision statement, policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation
• Be approachable and Reliable
• Stable work history

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Registered Service Manager or Deputy Manager/Care Manager
• Previous experience in a managerial role within a Supported Living/Care Home setting is essential!!
• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be eligible to complete this
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Learning Disabilities or Mental Health is preferred
• Excellent knowledge and experience of CQC, REACH Standards and Supporting People's Quality Assessment Framework
• Dynamic & Enthusiastic
• Be approachable and reliable
• Stable work history
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle
