Toro Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified individual for the role of Tendering Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for handling a range of lower-value project tenders and contributing to higher-value tenders with an electrical focus. The projects will involve various aspects, such as customer-owned 'High Voltage' electrical networks, Primary iDNO substations, and associated Grid connections.

As a Tendering Engineer, your primary responsibilities include ensuring the timely delivery of tenders, maintaining the quality and commercial accuracy of tendered works, and fostering client relationships. Your role as a Special Projects Tendering Engineer requires a comprehensive understanding and expertise to deliver competitive, robust, and accurate returns. You should feel confident in providing technical advice, meeting clients face-to-face, and submitting error-free bids. All tendering processes will adhere to ISO 9001 standards.

There may be occasions when Special Projects resources are required to take on hybrid roles involving tendering, design development, and/or delivery based on their knowledge, understanding, and competence. Project locations may span the Midlands region and potentially the wider United Kingdom. Additionally, you will be responsible for project change control, including raising respective quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the company's Projects Manager and Senior Tendering Engineer upon request.

* Represent the companies professionally, ensuring timely and articulate communication with all stakeholders.

* Prioritise and deliver all Special Projects tenders within agreed timeframes, ensuring compliance or appropriate qualifications.

* Proactively manage risks during tender creation.

* Achieve individual project tendering quantity goals and contribute to yearly sales targets.

* Contribute positively to the overall Special Projects sales target.

* Maintain Sales/Project Handover documentation following the company's BMS.

* Develop and maintain a Continual Professional Development (CPD) strategy.

Essential Requirements:

* Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator / Tendering Engineer

* Experience in a fast-paced utility/construction/services engineering sales team environment.

* Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

* Understanding of tendering construction projects within MEICA/Utility Technical Construction Environment &/or T&D networks (up to 11kv/33kv)

* Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.

* Proven experience in delivering robust quotation outputs.

* AutoCAD competence

* Competence with Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

* Microsoft Project competence for delivering simple tendering programs.
