An accounts company based in Kingston are looking for a switched on and organised Trainee Accountant to join their growing team.
The client is looking for someone who has a degree in Accounting or Finance and they offer a full ACCA training contract with study support.
The main purpose of an Accounts Assistant role is to:
Complete bookkeeping in Xero, including receipts analysis and reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
VAT returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns with confidence.
Support in preparing accounts for sole traders, and limited companies.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Support managers with handling ad hoc accounting and administration tasks
Engage in professional development through tailored training and workshops.
Accounts Assistant Specification:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Enthusiasm to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
IT Literate, eager to master key accounting software.
Prior experience in an office or finance environment is an advantage but not essential.
