We are recruiting an experienced Finance Assistant on a temporary basis, although for the right candidate this could turn into a long-term / permanent role.
The purpose of this role is to support the HR / Finance Manager with the day-to-day running of financial tasks.
About the Role:
* Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch)
* £15 - £17 per hour depending on experience
* Based on outskirts of Swindon (own transport essential)
* Temporary role initially for approx. 3 months, but for the right candidate it could turn into a permanent role as the company will be recruiting on a permanent basis in the near future
Duties & Responsibilities for the Finance Assistant role:
* Record accounts payable and receivable
* Processing invoices, payments and receivables
* Track and reconcile payments and bank statements
* Credit control
* Invoicing
* Financial reporting
* Responding to inquiries from various parties and internal colleagues
* Financial record keeping – maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including invoices, expenses and transactions
* Support with processing of payroll
* Any other general admin duties
Experience required for the Finance Assistant role:
* Experience of working within a similar role
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors
* Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures including SAGE 50
* Advanced MS Excel skills
* AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification preferred
