We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and be proficient in using various hand and power tools. This role involves working on residential and commercial properties, ensuring that roofs are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting as required.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal.

Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing roofs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Work with masonry and other building materials to ensure proper integration with roofing systems.

Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.

Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Perform heavy lifting as necessary when handling roofing materials and equipment.

Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools are accounted for after use.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws.

Experience with power tools including drills, nail guns, and saws.

Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.

Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous.

Strong understanding of roofing systems and construction methods.

Basic carpentry skills for building structures related to roofing projects.

Capability to plumb structures accurately as part of the installation process.

Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights.
