This manufacturing site is at the heart of operations, where cutting-edge technology meets world-class expertise to deliver exceptional results. To continue driving their success, I'm looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the maintenance team.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a range of equipment vital to our production lines. This includes machinery such as conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, belts, and pneumatic systems, all crucial to the fast-paced environment of FMCG manufacturing.
You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring that machinery operates at peak efficiency. Welding and fabrication skills will also be essential, allowing you to carry out both repairs and modifications as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification is essential.
Proven experience working in an FMCG, manufacturing, or similar environment.
Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, including:
Pneumatics
Conveyors
Gearboxes
Belts
Pumps
Competent in welding (MIG, TIG, or ARC) and metal fabrication.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with preventative maintenance systems.
Experience in food or packaging manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
