SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking to appoint a special needs teaching assistant who either has experience working with special needs, or is quick to learn!

About the school:

The school is a primary school for children from ages 3 to 11 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have a diagnosis of ASD. The school is warm and welcoming and prides itself on nurturing a supportive and collaborative environment for all.

The class where they are based will have children who can show challenging behaviour.

About you:

Ideally have experience as a special needs teaching assistant, or within a special needs environment
Be proactive
Able to get to know the children so they can see them as children first and foremost and best meet their needs
Encouraging them to be as independent as possible in all their learning
Willing to do personal care and support the children positively in all situations
Able to work well in a team and communicate well with adults and children
Have previous experience supporting people with special needs
