THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a permanent basis for our client based in County Durham.
The organisation is passionate about improvements and you will be joining a growing business who are focused on raising standards across all production areas.
Within the business you will form part of the maintenance team but you will also take a senior role within projects working to commission new machinery, write standard operating procedures (SOPs), write maintenance schedules/plans and train technicians around safe machine operation.
THE ROLE
Delivering planned and reactive maintenance
Commissioning new machinery and delivering bespoke project work within the plant.
Writing SOP's / SOC's for training & processes.
Managing Safe Systems of Work and Statutory Inspections for the Plant.
Management of Electrical systems including DB boards.
Ability to fix machines on high level breakdowns and cover the Engineering Manager.
Project management, introduce new machines and processes.
Speak for the Engineering section of the Daily Production Meetings.
Manage a Total Productive Maintenance schedule to include Reactive, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
Training operatives in accordance with new machine introduction and safe operation procedures
Lean leader to drive improvement of machine performance and 5S.
Ability to use PLC’s for fault finding and diagnostic work (Omron, Siemens)
THE PERSON
Multi Skilled background Electrical bias
Ability to work safely and in a controlled manner.
CompEx or ATEX training desirable
IOSH or NEBOSH Safety.
Experienced in working with/managing contractors.
Ability to write SOP’s for Machine introduction and operational processes
Evidence of driving improvement from KPI's.
Leading Lean programs and initiatives.
Good team worker.
Ability to deliver results without constant supervision.
Experience of operating in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
