I am working with a thriving secondary school in Chehsam, Buckinghamshire providing high-quality education to students aged 11-18.
They are looking for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to start from January 2025 on a permanent basis, full time.
A broad and comprehensive curriculum is taught in modern facilities by dedicated teaching staff who are passionate about their subjects and are experts in educating and inspiring pupils to achieve excellence.
Geography is a large, thriving subject area which is one of our major option choices at KS4 and very popular at A-Level.
Our ideal candidate is
A Geography specialist, though ability to teach other Humanities subjects is desirable
An outstanding teacher who combines a range of innovative teaching strategies with excellent relationships with young people
A team player who works well with others and is dedicated to the success of their students
Someone who looks for ways to improve themselves and the school and is not afraid of taking responsibility beyond their classroom
Main Responsibilities
To plan and prepare courses and lessons as required
Delivering to students from Key Stage 3-5
To teach students including setting and marking work
To assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students
To provide guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters, further education and careers and be a personal tutor if required
To communicate with and consult parents of students
To participate in arrangements for performance review and staff development activities, management and administrative activities.
To maintain discipline and safeguard the health and safety of students
