Interim Health, Safety and Fire Consultant (2-3 months)

Middlesborough / North East

Pay rate: £(Apply online only)/day (inside IR35)

Umbrella rate: £(Apply online only) / day

Our client has an opportunity for a Contract Health, Safety and Fire Consultant to join their team for 2-3 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice, conducting comprehensive audits, and helping clients to maintain compliance. This role is home-based with client sites across the North East, supporting a mixed client-base with a focus on the care home sector.

Key responsibilities:

* Conducting comprehensive Health and Safety Audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.

* Completing fire risk assessments to mitigate risks and ensure safety standards are upheld.

* Undertaking risk assessments and developing effective risk management strategies.

* Developing safety policies and procedures tailored to client needs.

* Providing expert advice and support to clients on all health and safety matters, ensuring best practices are followed.

* Delivering Health and Safety training, including IOSH Managing Safely courses.

Qualifications:

* NEBOSH Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma

* Member of IOSH (TechIOSH, CertIOSH or CMIOSH)

* NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.

Skills:

* Proven experience in health and safety consultancy.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Proficient in preparing detailed, high-quality reports and documentation.

* Experience in the insurance industry would be beneficial.
