With a strong focus on Cat A and Cat B refurbishment, design and build projects, our client serve both commercial and residential sectors. The company is based in Hertfordshire and work on projects within the local area and into Central London. Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join this dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating with prior experience estimating fit out construction projects. You will be responsible for managing the tender process from start to finish. You will be working on a range of projects, typically valued up to £2 million and will play a key role in ensuring the financial success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate estimates for Cat A and Cat B fit out projects, including refurbishment and design & build works

* Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to understand client requirements

* Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers

* Perform risk assessments, identifying potential issues and solutions

* Prepare and submit competitive tenders within set deadlines

* Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers to provide cost advice and support throughout the project lifecycle

* Monitor and control project costs, ensuring budgets are met

* Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience as an Estimator within the fit out construction industry, ideally working on commercial and residential projects

* Strong understanding of Cat A and Cat B fit out specifications and processes

* Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market rates

* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors

* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once

* Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
