The business offers a wide range of engineering services providing practical and effective solutions meeting the needs of its clients. Our team of engineers work on UK, European & International engineering projects.
Our core business model is Installation, Decommissioning, Movement and Maintenance of mechanical services and specialist machinery predominantly in the Glass Industry.
Our client works closely with most the UK’s major glass manufacturing plants and in more recent years has expanded operations into Europe and further afield internationally, operating out of Asia, North America and South America.
Job Description
We are looking to recruit experienced, or time served Mechanical Fitters to work on a wide range of engineering projects. You will find yourself working in very industrial environments working long hours, in uncomfortable conditions and in high temperatures but you will be well remunerated for your work.
You will be working as part of a team taking on Installation, Decommissioning and the movement of machinery within fully functioning plants. As part of the process, you will also be installing be installing steelwork, conveyor systems and ducting.
Our work sees us not only working in the UK, but we also carry out projects across Europe too to so travel will be required.
You may also find yourself working away from home regularly, this may include weekends, the most you will be away from at any one time will e 12 days.
Role Requirements
* Conveyor Installations
* Steelwork / Piping / Ducting Installations
* You ideally be able to interpret technical drawings.
* Install various sized ductwork for extraction and ventilation.
* Be able to strip and assemble mechanical components
* Machinery movement and re-location
* Inspecting the workplace, clearing obstructions, and preparing materials and equipment
* Welding experience
* Full UK Driving Licence
Working Hours & Overtime
* Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm (Core Hours)
* Any additional hours over your standard 8 hours day will be paid at time and a half.
This role will see you working over your core 8 hours daily due to the nature of the work, you will also be paid for any travel you do within the business.
Whilst working away you will have your accommodation paid for you, and you will receive £20 food allowance per evening.
