Complex Care Assistant – East Malling, Kent

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Complex Care Assistant to support a young patient with complex medical needs in their home in East Malling. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential care in a family environment, ensuring the child’s safety, comfort, and well-being.

East Malling, Kent

Pay:

£15 per hour PAYE | £19 per hour Umbrella

Shift Pattern:

Wednesday to Friday:

7:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Alternate weekends:

12-hour shifts (day or night, depending on rota)

Driving license required

– must be able to drive to the patient’s home

Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and assist with daily needs

Support with PEG feeding and ensure safe administration

Perform suctioning past the back teeth when required

Assist with NIV ventilation and Bi-Pap therapy

Monitor and respond to seizure activity, providing necessary interventions

Administer medications as per care plan

Assist with Moving and Handling tasks safely

Maintain clear and accurate care records

You will be working closely with the child’s family and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care is provided in a comfortable home setting.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK

Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle

At least 6 months of personal care experience (home care, hospital, or care home)

DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one

Basic Life Support and Moving/Handling training
