Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School, East Grinstead

Academics is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in East Grinstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and gaining experience in education.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups

Work alongside teachers to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons

Assist students with additional learning needs, including mild SEN

Promote positive behaviour and encourage student confidence

Contribute to a calm, focused and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people (in schools or similar settings)

A positive, adaptable and proactive attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Full UK driving licence preferred (school may not be easily accessible by public transport)

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
