Council Gardener

Location: Epsom, Surrey

Hourly wage: £11.44 per hour (40 hours per week)

Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm

Temporary, ongoing contract

The aim of this role is to assistant the local council’s grounds maintenance team with verges on public roads, parks and open spaces. Previous grounds maintenance experience is essential as is a full, manual driving licence. The opportunity to secure permanent employment exists and depends on an individual’s abilities.

* Grass and hedge cutting using petrol mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters

* Driving a 3.5tn van

* Litter picking and sweeping

* Leaf clearance with brooms and petrol blowers

* A good team player

* Ensure you work in the safest possible way at all times

* Reliable and a good timekeeper
