Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

GSL Education are seeking an exceptional English teacher to work on a part-time basis at a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire, starting in November 2024. This a great opportunity for Teachers looking for a flexible work-life balance, or those simply wanting a new experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver English lesson that meets the individual needs of students.
Help students with their progress by taking a role in departmental support.
Establish appropriate guidelines in the classroom and make sure they are followed consistently.
Build strong rapport with students by creating an inclusive environment.
Perform the professional responsibilities of a school teacher as outlined in the existing school policies, under the Senior Management Team's instruction.
Continue personal development in the relevant areas including subject knowledge and teaching methods.
Key Requirements:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas equivalent.
Degree in English or a related subject.
Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have knowledge and understanding of the implications of SEND Code of Practice for teaching and learning.

Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
