Our client, a manufacturer of electro-mechanical products, seek to appoint an Systems Engineering Manager to lead their design team. As Systems Engineering Manager you willl lead a small team of multi-disciplinary design engineers (electrical, electronic, mechanical and software) on a variety of NDP projects. This is a hands on Engineering Management role where you will take the lead on some of the more complex R&D projects alongside galvanising a team to ensure optimum performance. Systems Engineering Manager - Role and Responsibilities - Design Manager / R&D Manager / Engineering Manager / Systems Engineer / Electronics / Embedded 

* Oversee R&D focused design projects from cradle to scope, feasibility study, design work, prototyping and test, production engineering, snagging, field support
* Driving force of projects: liaise with internal stakeholders to deliver on-time and on-budget
* Manage multi-disciplined project teams including mechanical, electrical, electronic and software design
* Handle customer and supplier queries
* Some travel required to customer sites as appropriate. Rare but occasionally required

Systems Engineering Manager - Skills & Abilities - Design Manager / R&D Manager / Engineering Manager / Systems Engineer / Electronics / Embedded 

* Good grounding in design engineering working for electro-mechanical manufacturing business
* HNC qualified as a minimum, degree preferred
* Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic and software engineering
* Experience of managing multi-disciplined design teams on multiple R&D projects
* Previous experience of project management
