Are you a semi senior accountant / bookkeeper looking for a role with great opportunities for progression within a well-established practice?

We are looking for a semi senior accountant / bookkeeper for a friendly, local and highly successful busy Accountancy Practice - offering flexible working patterns and great environments with the opportunity to progress.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for client bookkeeping - including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations.

The Role of semi senior accountant / bookkeeper

Supporting a variety of clients from sole traders to limited companies and partnerships with general bookkeeping
VAT Preparation and submittal
CIS Preparation and submittal
Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month
General administrative duties around the office, responding to emails and answering the phoneSkills and Experience required for the role of Practice Accountant -

At least 2 years of experience working in accounting , or a related field is expected
AAT Level Qualified and ideally studying towards ACCA or similar qualification
Experience with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
Experience of CIS and VAT Preparation
Possessing great communication skills both written and spoken
