We are looking for a local Electrical Design Engineer to start on a biotech site in Billingham, UK.
The Electrical Design Engineer will plan & organise all electrical technical functions specific to the project, coordinate interaction between in-house teams & clients and provide guidance on technical requirements.
You must have a strong electrical engineering background along with experience managing design projects.
Project
Construction of a new greenfield Bio-Pharma facility
Our client’s scope is Mechanical piping & HVAC, Electrical & IT Packages
Installation of all production reactors and equipment
Installation of approximately 16,000m’s of pipe, various specifications
Installation of approximately 22,000m2 of duct

Job Description
Cooperation with the construction team to ensure all engineering deliverables are met
Proven ability to problem solve and resolve coordination issues
Knowledge of services coordination, P&ID’s and Design Schematics required
Have keen attention to detail and production of quality general arrangement layout drawings
Help with the Commissioning ethos for projects, ensuring that Jones Engineering is the best it can be everyday everywhere
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager on project progress, risks, and issues
Analyse supplier information for alignment with design specifications
Review and understand schematics, GA plans and projects specifications
Design reviews, validate equipment and systems
Complete technical submittals, RFIs, equipment registers and trackers
Analysis of all design documentation and identification of any scope gaps
Review of test procedures and of the operating manuals with the Specialist Vendor teams
Maintain project documentation
Attends Meetings as required
Requirements
Third Level Qualification in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry desirable
Fluent English essential
Excellent IT skills required
Experience in Revit, AutoCAD would be advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
CSCS or Safety Passport H&S Qualifications mandatory
Conditions
Duration is 12 months+
Negotiable day rate
10 hour days Monday-Friday
