We are seeking reliable and skilled HGV 1 Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires day shift or night shift trunking also weekend roles available

Duties

* Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

* Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

* ensure loads are appropriate for safe transport.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs.

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

* Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.

* Adhere to company policies and procedures while on the road.

Skills

* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar commercial driving role.

* Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations is advantageous.

* Strong navigational skills and knowledge of local roads and routes.

* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

* A valid commercial driving licence (CPC & digital tacho cards) is essential, along with a clean driving record.

Pay: £15.50-£19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 55 per week
