THE ROLE - Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

This is a rare opportunity to join a hugely successful aerospace engineering business in the design of exiting, safety critical aerospace equipment.

It is imperative that you have strong aerospace design experience, with a preference to that being related to electromechanical systems.

As a Principal Design Engineer, you’ll be spearheading and leading a team on design tasks and taking a lead on complex technical challenges.

DUTIES – Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team Mechanical Design Engineers.
Design of components and supporting equipment utilised in military aircraft.
Carrying out performance and structural calculations.
Producing 3D models and 2D drawings.
Producing supporting documentation for engineering change.
Working on both new development and sustainment projects.

BACKROUND – Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree.
Strong Aerospace background.
Electromechanical system design experience.
Analytical mindset.
Strong leadership qualities.
