The last few years have seen Linaker grow exponentially with us taking more disciplines in house. Due to this growth we are now looking for an experienced Fire & Security Manager to play a key role in developing both new and existing relationships on a national level and help grow a new team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Fire & Security Manager you will provide day to day strategic leadership, management and development to the fire & security engineers and the contracts they work on. You will be responsible for ensuring steady growth of your contracts including checking the quality of works produced, signing off certification and the production of quotations for extra works.

You will also be a strong people manager with the capability of developing and improving the performance of your team including reviews and PDPs as well as carrying out inductions and ensuring new team members are onboarded effectively.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Overall responsibility for the self delivered aspects of Fire & Security under their management on a day-to-day basis

Financial responsibility of all jobs under their management and control of vehicle stock.

Responsible for all clients attached to jobs within their management, including ensuring PPM, reactive, OOH works, and quote turn around up to 20K and quality completion, production of monthly reports to internal stakeholders.

Key stakeholder and a significant contributor the growth of the Fire & Security portfolio attached to any contract within their management, including existing client account management, a contributor to the sales process including compilation of the bid, site surveys, asset gathering, and sign off (up to 1k PPM) and mobilisation.

Responsible for operational completeness of mobilisations on given contracts, including scheduling and production of the PPM planner, delap report, sub-contractor visits and logbook.

Responsibility for day-to-day H&S and compliance across their contracts and clients ensuring an example is set regarding their highest importance within our business.

Project management within their contract whilst on site, following the projects process and that authorised projects are managed in line with the client expectation and completed safely and successfully within budget

Responsible for ensuring the correct resourcing levels of the correct discipline are maintained throughout their team. That tools and critical spares processes appropriate for our client needs are established and maintained.

Responsible for the upkeep of all contract documentation including, contract files, logbooks, monthly reports and meeting minutes.

Responsible for contract amendments and renewals within their portfolio of contracts.

Responsible for reporting accurate and correct key KPI information to the Operations Director on a monthly basis.

Production of quotations for extra works as required in line with Company policy

People Management- including reviews, audits, and PDP. Assisting with Induction and on-boarding.

Protect the company’s reputation by ensuring the company is always portrayed in a good light and carrying out any other reasonable duties deemed necessary to ensure the business can fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

2 Years’ client and people management experience gained in a similar business within the Facilities/Engineering sector.

Technical expertise within the Fire & Security sector with appropriate qualifications.

Strategic level experience preferred

An understanding of H&S and compliance, preferably with IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications

Previous people management experience including performance reviews & audits and coaching & development.

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices pertaining to documentation, compliance and risk management

Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy

Proactive problem solver who is able to lead by example whilst maintaining a strong ethical approach

THE PACKAGE

A competitive starting salary of up to £50,000-£60,000 based on experience with annual pay reviews.
