A History Teacher is required for a secondary school in the Newcastle area. You will deliver History lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 (mainly Key Stage 4). This is a full time role, 5 days a week to cover a long term sick leave. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The ideal candidate would:

* Have good classroom management skills

* Have a passion for teaching History

* Have excellent subject knowledge

* Be able to organise themselves

* Be able to plan effective, engaging History lessons

We are keen to hear from both experienced teachers or ECTs.

In addition, you must:

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
