Job title: Senior Airworthiness Engineer

Location: Warton - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 - £52,426 (Commensurate with skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

Independent airworthiness assurance activity of design certification (qualification and safety) evidence in support of airworthiness certification for Development, Production and Export clearance programmes
Airworthiness focal point for agreeing flight limitations with System Design Responsibility teams, Flight Operations and the external customers
Establishing and producing Flight Certification (Military Permit to Fly) for Development and Production Aircraft
Establishing and producing Flight Certification (Release to Service) for Export Customers
Independent airworthiness assurance activity for emergent flight safety issues affecting Development aircraft, resulting in the issue of Flight Safety Procedures (Additional Flight Limitations/Flight Safety Messages) to Eurofighter Partner Company operators (Italy, Spain, Germany, UK)
Supporting continuous development of BAE Systems and Eurofighter flight certification and design certification processes
Supporting and representing Airworthiness at Typhoon project meetings, including support to external customer meetingsYour skills and experiences:

Aircraft Avionic and Mechanical systems design and Aerodynamic disciplines
Design configuration control processes
Design certification (qualification and safety) and Airworthiness processes
Aircraft operations
Analytical methods to support establishing integrated aircraft level flight limitationsBenefits:

The Typhoon Initial Airworthiness (Flight Certification) Team:

The team covers current and future aircraft development activities assuring the type airworthiness of the product and its release into service across all customers.
