Our schools are looking for proactive individuals who are not afraid to get stuck in with the tasks of the day. We need people who can handle a variety of behavioural challenges but understand how rewarding it is to work with SEND learners.
Job Description: We are looking for a variety of staff members interested in working as Teaching Assistants (TAs) and upwards. The ideal candidates will have a CACHE/NVQ Level 2 qualification or higher, or relevant experience working with SEN children in either special schools or mainstream settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
Assisting teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of SEN students.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Proactively engaging in daily tasks and activities.
Managing and responding to a variety of behavioural challenges with patience and empathy.
Requirements:
CACHE/NVQ Level 2 qualification or higher in a relevant field.
Experience working with SEN children in special schools or mainstream settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proactive attitude and willingness to engage in all aspects of school life.
Resilience and the ability to handle behavioural challenges positively.
